Integrative Experience

Students who want to complete a pathway in Health & Wellness, Inequality & Cultural Understanding, and Sustainability, Energy & the Environment will have a number of options for doing so. Though some students may want to conclude their studies on grand challenge topics with a relevant minor or double major, our plan is to provide a number of different options—currently in development for Fall 2017—for students to synthesize their work on grand challenge topics through an integrative experience of some kind.  This may involve a written report, the analysis of data, an account of campus research through the Ethnography of the University Initiative, or work under the supervision of a faculty member and/or one of the Grand Challenge Learning pilot’s many partnering interdisciplinary institutes.
